Description
Shimano CN-HG71 is a high-quality chain for Shimano HG drivetrains with 6, 7, or 8 gears. It is designed to work with Shimano HyperGlide sprockets and delivers precise, reliable shifting.
CN-HG71 is suitable for road, trekking, and MTB bikes, as well as classic bikes with 6-, 7-, or 8-speed drivetrains. The chain has a traditional 1/2" x 3/32" dimension and comes with 116 links.
Chain assembly:
The chain must be shortened to the correct length using a chain tool and joined with a Shimano reinforced connecting pin. For Shimano 6-, 7-, and 8-speed chains, use the black reinforced connecting pin. Press the connecting pin into place with a suitable chain tool, then snap off the excess part of the pin. Shimano recommends not rejoining the chain at a link that previously had a reinforced connecting pin.
