Rene-Herse TC Umtanum Ridge Standard | 650B x 55 mm

Umtanum Ridge is the ultimate 650B bikepacking tire, designed for trips where you do not know what lies ahead. It is named after a steep, remote mountain in the central Cascade Mountains that was never renamed by European settlers and still bears its original Native American name.

Road.cc awarded Umtanum Ridge its coveted ‘Recommended Tyre’ badge and commented: “Fat, supple tire for all kinds of off-road use, and fast and quiet on the road.”

The tire’s large, widely spaced knobs provide grip when conditions get tough. On asphalt, it rolls and corners like a slick thanks to the large, strategically placed knobs, which do not move and always provide the same amount of rubber on the road. Umtanum Ridge features Rene Herse noise-dampening technology: The staggered tread blocks create overlapping noise frequencies that partially cancel each other out. This means that on most surfaces, Umtanum Ridge not only rolls as fast as a slick—it is just as quiet.

Standard casing
The standard model is the slightly more affordable option: comfortable and fast, yet strong enough to withstand considerable loads.

Umtanum Ridge is tubeless-compatible.
